Questions about VADA
Dress for the weather. VADA has an air-conditioned cabin, but the flybridge — where the views are best — can get breezy underway. We suggest a layer you can throw on and a hat or sunglasses for sunny afternoons. In the cooler months, bring a light jacket for sunset cruises.
For footwear, please wear only flip-flops or boat shoes on the boat. Other types of shoes will be collected upon boarding to protect the vessel's interior.
Yes. VADA has a private marine head (boat toilet) for guest use — a thoughtful detail that sets her apart from smaller vessels.
Please note that a marine head is much smaller than a residential toilet and is located in a compact room with a narrow 20-inch-wide door.
If you have questions about fit or accessibility, please call us before booking and we'll be glad to walk you through the dimensions or arrange a pre-booking tour.
Yes. Like most cruising yachts, VADA has multiple levels connected by steps in every direction:
- Stepping aboard from the dock
- Up to the flybridge
- Down into the salon
- Down to the marine head
- Forward to the bow seating
Most steps are short but steep, and handrails are provided. Guests should feel comfortable navigating short staircases on a moving vessel. If anyone in your party has limited mobility, please let us know in advance so we can talk through what to expect and help plan a comfortable experience.
Yes. VADA is BYOB — bring your favorite spirits, wine, and other drinks. We provide drinkware, ice, and complimentary items; see the Menus page for our complimentary stock.
You may also bring your own food and snacks. When you bring your own food, no service staff is provided. Microwave use is available for reheating only; no cooking is permitted aboard VADA. Meals provided through Cruise Jacksonville include service staff from the catering company.
