Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your booking and use of charter cruise services provided by Cruise Jacksonville (“Cruise Jacksonville,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) aboard the motor vessel VADA, a federally documented vessel (No. 1363765) operating from Lambs Yacht Center, Jacksonville, Florida. By booking a cruise, boarding the vessel, or using this website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Booking & Reservations
All cruises are private charters and are booked directly with Cruise Jacksonville by phone at (904) 881-4725 or by email at vance@cruisejacksonville.com. A reservation is not confirmed until we have received your deposit and provided written confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our sole discretion.
2. Passenger Capacity
VADA is operated under United States Coast Guard regulations applicable to Uninspected Passenger Vessels (UPVs). Passenger capacity is strictly limited to six (6) guests per cruise. No exceptions are permitted under any circumstances.
3. Payment
A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date. The remaining balance is due prior to or at the time of boarding, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking. All prices are in U.S. dollars and are subject to applicable Florida taxes and fees.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you cancel your cruise, our cancellation and refund policy will be communicated at the time of booking and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule cruises affected by weather, mechanical issues, Coast Guard restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In the event Cruise Jacksonville must cancel a cruise for any reason, we will offer to reschedule or refund the amount paid for that cruise.
5. Weather & Captain's Discretion
The safety of our guests and crew is paramount. The captain has sole and final authority to delay, alter the route of, shorten, or cancel any cruise due to weather, sea conditions, mechanical concerns, or any other safety consideration. Decisions made by the captain in the interest of safety are not grounds for refund beyond what is set forth in our cancellation policy.
6. Charter Agreement & Liability Waiver
Every guest aboard VADA is required to sign the River Cruise Charter Agreement and Indemnity & Liability Waiver prior to boarding. The signed waiver is a condition of boarding. A copy of the waiver is available upon request and will be provided in advance of your cruise.
7. Conduct Aboard
Guests are expected to follow all instructions given by the captain and crew. Cruise Jacksonville reserves the right to refuse boarding or to terminate a cruise (without refund) for any guest who is disorderly, intoxicated to the point of presenting a safety risk, or who refuses to comply with safety instructions or applicable law.
8. Alcohol Policy (BYOB)
Cruise Jacksonville operates on a Bring Your Own Beverage basis for alcoholic beverages. We do not sell alcohol aboard. Guests must be of legal drinking age (21 or older) to consume alcohol aboard. Cruise Jacksonville and its crew reserve the right to refuse service of any alcohol, to confiscate any alcohol from guests under the legal drinking age, or to discontinue alcohol service to any guest at any time.
9. Catering & Food
Catering, when included or arranged, is provided by Chef Terry of Simply South Catering or other independent third-party providers. Cruise Jacksonville is not responsible for food allergies or reactions; please notify us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking. No cooking is allowed on VADA.
10. Personal Belongings
Cruise Jacksonville is not responsible for any personal items lost, stolen, or damaged aboard the vessel or at the pickup location. We recommend leaving valuables at home and bringing only what you need for the cruise.
11. Photography & Marketing
From time to time, we may take photographs or video aboard VADA for marketing purposes. By booking a cruise, you acknowledge that you and your guests may appear in such material. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let us know at the time of booking.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cruise Jacksonville's total liability arising out of or related to any charter, cruise, or service shall not exceed the amount paid by the guest for that cruise. Cruise Jacksonville shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind. The full terms of indemnity and waiver are set forth in the Charter Agreement & Liability Waiver signed prior to boarding.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable federal maritime law. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or any charter shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
